pathchk — check pathnames

pathchk [-Pp] pathname ...

The pathchk utility checks each pathname and report too long path, too long components or non-searchable directories.

Check for empty pathnames and leading hyphens (‘-’).
Check for most POSIX systems.

The pathchk utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.

The pathchk utility is compliant with the specification.
